Methods
The workshop applies methods of
corporate theatre and psychodrama. The methods involve creating spectacles,
which are opportunities to develop professional skills of participants. The
methods imply experiential learning (learning through experience, sometimes
defined as "learning through reflection on doing"). It requires the courage to experiment with
expression and imagination to find innovative solutions. The methods can be a
challenge because they need going beyond stereotypes of thinking and acting. We
will exercise creative problem solving, distributing tasks, motivating each
other, planning and organising events.
The methods engage and reveal personal and individual skills, unleash unique
talents, show how to create a high-performance culture through inspirational
engagement and to build group confidence.
Five sessions are
scheduled. At the beginning of each meeting, the teacher determines tasks to be
solved surprisingly. While searching for solutions, participants should make
use of their knowledge and skills they acquired during the basic course. First,
the participants will prepare presentations in small groups. Their members will
be responsible for the performance of each other. The coach and participants
will share their feedback. Finally, the best ideas will be presented (by
volunteers) at an open show (attendance
is not mandatory, although the
performance is not). A significant amount of time will be scheduled for practising without the coach and for individual
consultations with him.
The course gives 3 ECTS. It requires
you focus and engagement. You should read the mandatory
literature before the course and practice after sessions
every day. It is indeed time and energy consuming.
