Jan Franciszek Jacko PhD, hab, prof. UJ
(doctorate in philosophy/ethics and second doctorate/habilitation
in human management sciences) is an associate professor at the Jagiellonian University (Kraków,
Poland). He teaches management philosophy, management ethics and
body language in business situations. His research interests
are applied philosophy, rational choice
theories, business ethics, and semiotics.
He is a transdisciplinary researcher in strategic management between
philosophy, ethics and management sciences. His current research is on the rationale
for decisions, strategies, tactics and innovations. One can label the
objectives of this research by the catchphrase “rational decision” or “efficiency”
of solutions.
His previous projects dealt with non-verbal communication in
negotiations and public presentations. In his recent monograph (Negotiation
tactics in the context of proxemics), he is puzzling over how physical and
symbolic spaces relate to each other in the process of negotiations.
Besides, he is a professional pantomime theatre actor (pseudonym Jan
Gembal) and communication trainer. He has staged his solo monodramas at theatres in
Austria, Italy, Germany, Poland, Switzerland and the Principality of
Liechtenstein. He temporarily works for business organisations
(corporations, firms, companies) and theatre
schools as an expert and instructor in nonverbal communication.
